A ductless downdraft bench for the safe application of dyes, stains and reagents, protecting the operator from the fumes and vapours they release. Used across histology, pathology, microbiology and forensic laboratories, its polypropylene sink, dye storage tank, water facilities and open work surface give the ideal environment for efficient, repeatable staining.
Dye staining benches give operators protection from the fumes and vapours produced when dyes, stains and reagents are applied to samples. From histology and pathology sections to microbiology, cytology and haematology smears, and forensic print development, the polypropylene sink, dye storage tank, water facilities and open work surface provide the optimum environment for efficient, repeatable staining.
Harmful fumes and vapours are drawn downward through the work surface to the unit's filters, and clean air is recirculated back into the laboratory, so there is no need for expensive ducting. The polypropylene construction will not rust or corrode in contact with water and chemicals, and is easy to keep clean.
Designed specifically for staining and reagent work, the bench keeps operators safe while giving a clear, non corrosive and easy to clean working environment.
The dye staining bench is available in two standard widths. Custom sizes can be considered on request.
| Model | Nominal width | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| DSB 1500 | 1.5m | Standard staining and reagent work |
| DSB 1800 | 1.8m | Larger work surface and higher throughput |
Widths are nominal. Custom sizes can be considered, contact us for a specific quote.
Harmful fumes and vapours are drawn downward through the work surface to the unit's filters.
A polypropylene sink, dye storage tank and water facilities give a complete dye staining environment.
Clean air is recirculated back into the laboratory through the filters, with no ducting required.
A range of carbon and HEPA filters so the bench can be matched to the dyes, stains and reagents in each application.
Non corrosive polypropylene surfaces will not rust or corrode in contact with water and chemicals, and are easy to clean.
Fitted as standard, the alarm alerts the operator if work surface face velocity falls below 0.3 m/s.
